The Adventures of Hoverslug was a small game I built back in 2015 during my last month of college.  It's a small, quirky puzzle games with a few secrets to discover and a lot of character.  Though I've made plenty of games since, this one will always hold a place in my heart.  My focus in this project was to create a rich, diegetic UI that would not require a static overlay on the screen for any portion of the game.

Brightened my day :)

You're right, it has a lot of character. I love the slimy bob that somehow hovers. The party mode was fun to find and the goofy party blower sound that played made me smile. I think I found all secrets, but I'm not sure, as I couldn't figure out how to reach some of the magic posters.

The UI worked well and it felt like it belonged in the game world.

As I think you know, it's a shame that there aren't any real puzzles in the game, aside from that one secret room. All of the levels feel like they are just supposed to be your first introduction to a new mechanic that you couldn't possibly mess up and there is barely any thought required to solve them. I think I would have enjoyed playing more levels with challenging puzzles.

It's a goofy game and I can see why you love it so much. I was going to give you a buck or two for it, but unfortunately you don't have pay-what-you-want enabled. Thanks for sharing Hoverslug with me.

I really appreciate your kind words! I'd be remiss if I didn't tell you there are actually two secret rooms ;)
